About IIT Roorkee
Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) is a premier public technical and research university located in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India. Established in 1847 as the Thomason College of Civil Engineering, it holds the distinction of being Asia’s oldest engineering college. It was later designated as the University of Roorkee in 1949, and in 2001, it became the seventh Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).

IIT Roorkee Hostels:
1- Accommodation: 10 boys' hostels, 3 girls' hostels, 1 co-ed hostel, and 6 married couples' hostels.
