Banaras Hindu University (BHU), located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, is one of India’s most prestigious and oldest universities. The MBBS program at the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (IMS-BHU) is among the most prestigious and competitive medical courses in India, admitting 100 students annually through the NEET-UG examination. The course spans 5.5 years, including 4.5 years of academic study and a 1-year compulsory internship, with students gaining extensive clinical exposure at the 1,200-bed Sir Sunderlal Hospital located within the BHU campus.
