Eligibility

  • For MBBS (UG):

      • Minimum marks in PCB (usually 50% for general, lower for reserved categories as per state / NMC norms).
      • Must qualify NEET-UG 2025 (National Testing Agency).
      • Must satisfy age criteria (e.g. at least 17 years by December 31, 2025).

  • For MD / MS (PG):
      • MBBS degree from an NMC-recognized institution.

  • For Super-Speciality (DM / M.Ch):
      • Must have relevant MD / MS in the specialization.
      • Must appear for NEET-SS (if applicable).

Admission / Counselling Process

  1. Qualify NEET-UG / NEET-PG / NEET-SS (whichever applies).

  2. State / Central Counselling:
      • For MBBS, seats are filled via Madhya Pradesh NEET UG counselling (state quota) and All India Quota (AIQ) via MCC.
      • For PG, MD/MS seats are allocated through MP NEET PG counselling and sometimes through all India quota.

  3. Choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, fee payment, and joining as per schedule.

  4. Commencement of classes as per university / college calendar.

Because NSCBMC is a government college with high demand, competition in state as well as all-India quotas is intense.

Cutoffs 2025 (and Trends)

MBBS (NEET-UG) Cutoffs

  • For NEET UG Round 2 (All India Quota, General category), NSCBMC’s closing rank is 10,051 (General AIQ) in 2025.

  • In previous years (2024), the closing rank for General AIQ was 9,890

  • For other categories, the closing ranks include:
      • OBC (AIQ) ~ 11,011 in 2025.
      • SC (AIQ) ~ 86,442 in 2025.

  • For MP state quota, cutoffs tend to have different ranks (often lower in terms of competition) — one source shows “MBBS Round 2, General Category: 24,350” under MP quota.

These are indicative: actual cutoffs will depend on competition, seat availability, reservation, etc.

PG / MD / MS Cutoffs

  • For MD / MS, NSCBMC’s cutoffs vary highly by specialization. For example:
      • MD (Radiodiagnosis) might have very high demand; other specialties less.
      • As per available data, the MD / PG cutoff range is seen across wide ranks like 754 – 173,469 (depending on home state vs open allotment).
      • MS (general surgery, OBG, etc.) also have wide ranges (e.g. 4,373 – 190,021).

Again, these ranges reflect previous years and open category or state / home state quotas.

Placements & Career Prospects

Medical colleges don’t typically have “placements” as in corporate jobs; instead their graduates follow medical, clinical, academic, or hospital paths.

  • Internship: After MBBS, students complete a one-year rotating internship in attached teaching hospitals and affiliated units.

  • Government / State Medical Service: Many MBBS graduates from NSCBMC go into Madhya Pradesh state health services, get posted as Medical Officers, or in rural / urban health centers.

  • PG Study & Specialization: A majority of graduates prepare for NEET-PG to pursue MD/MS or super-specialty careers.

  • Private Hospital / Clinics: Some graduates join private hospitals or start private clinical practice.

  • Academic & Research Roles: Some go into teaching positions or research projects, both nationally and internationally.

  • Reported Placement / Employment Figures: One source notes around 90% placement or internship / job success in allied / paramedical and other associated fields at NSCBMC.

  • Estimated Salary: Fresh MBBS doctors in government posts may start at INR 8–12 lakhs per annum or more, depending on post & state.

Because NSCBMC is a well-known and established institution with good hospital infrastructure and reputation, its alumni are generally competitive in both clinical and academic roles.
