CBSE Invites Class 9–12 Students to Lend Their Voices on Official Podcasts and Digital Platforms
New Delhi, September 1, 2025 – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has unveiled a new initiative aimed at amplifying student participation on its official digital platforms. In a circular dated August 28, 2025, the Board invited affiliated schools to nominate articulate and confident students from Classes 9 to 12 for inclusion in podcasts and social media content designed to bridge the gap between board-level messaging and student experiences
What’s the Initiative About?
Purpose: The initiative seeks to enrich CBSE’s digital content—encompassing podcasts, social media posts, and short audio/video segments—by featuring genuine student voices, testimonials, and conversations. This strategy is meant to make academic and counselling content more relatable, authentic, and student-centric
Nomination Process: Schools must submit student profiles via a Google Form within 10 days from the circular’s issue. Each nominee requires written consent from both the student and a parent or guardian, facilitated through the school
Voluntary Participation: CBSE emphasized that participation is entirely optional, ensuring no student is compelled to take part
Additional Digital Outreach: Podcasts, Radio & More
This student-inclusive phase follows a broader digital transformation by CBSE:
"Shiksha-Vani" Podcast: CBSE’s long-running platform offering subject-aligned audio resources for Classes 9–12, featuring nearly 400 NCERT-based episodes, accessible via the Google Play Store
Official Podcast Series – “Big-News, Bigger-Voices!”: Launched in May 2025, this series brings together students, educators, officials, and inspiring personalities. The first episode on the CBSEHQ YouTube channel features an interview between acid attack survivor Ms. Kafi and CBSE Secretary Shri Himanshu Gupta, underlining the Board’s commitment to meaningful dialogues beyond standard instruction
Upcoming Community Radio Station: CBSE is taking a bold step by applying for a community radio license, approved by its Governing Body. Over the next six months, consultations will finalize content frameworks, financial planning, and technical logistics. The radio station aims to offer live, interactive broadcasts, especially helpful in areas with limited internet connectivity—making CBSE the first educational board in India to venture into such a format
Summary Table:
