JEE Main 2026 City Intimation Slip: How to Check Exam City and Other Details

The National Testing Agency (NTA) on January 8 released the city intimation slips for the JEE Main 2026 Session 1. Registered candidates can download their JEE Main 2026 city slips from the official website — jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 examination for Paper 1 (BE/BTech) and Paper 2A and 2B (BArch and BPlanning) is scheduled to be conducted from January 21 to January 29.

The city intimation slip informs candidates about the city where their examination centre has been allotted, helping them plan travel and accommodation in advance. However, candidates should note that the city slip is not the admit card. The JEE Main 2026 admit cards are expected to be released three to four days before the commencement of the examination, likely around January 17 or 18.

According to the NTA, the JEE Main 2026 January session results will be declared on February 12.

During the application process, candidates were allowed to select up to four preferred exam cities based on their present and permanent addresses. While the NTA has stated that it makes every effort to allot centres according to candidates’ preferences, it has also clarified that due to administrative or logistical reasons, some candidates may be allotted an exam city different from their chosen options.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for updates related to the admit card, exam day instructions, and result announcements.
