The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru will admit students to its BTech (Mathematics and Computing) programme for 2026 through JEE Advanced scores and JoSAA counselling. Admissions will be based on candidates’ JEE Advanced 2026 ranks.
IISc currently offers two undergraduate programmes — BSc (Research) and BTech (Mathematics and Computing). The BTech programme is a four-year course comprising six core courses each in mathematics and computing, along with subjects from sciences, humanities, and other engineering disciplines.
Earlier, IISc admitted BTech students directly through JEE Advanced scores using its own admission portal. However, admissions for 2026 will now be routed through JoSAA counselling.
For JEE Advanced 2026, IIT Roorkee has been designated as the organising institute. The examination will be held on May 17, 2026, with registrations starting from April 23, 2026.
The application fee for Indian candidates in the General, OBC-NCL, and GEN-EWS categories is Rs 3,200, while female candidates of all categories and candidates from SC, ST, and PwD categories will pay Rs 1,600. The fee covers both Paper 1 and Paper 2 and must be paid online during registration.
