CBSE to Open CWSN Registration Portal from September 9 for Class 10 and 12 Students

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the launch of a dedicated registration portal for Children With Special Needs (CWSN) students, ensuring that they receive the facilities and exemptions available to them during the 2026 Class 10 and 12 Board Examinations.

According to the official notification dated August 27, 2025, the registration window will remain open from September 9 to September 22, 2025 (until 11:59 pm). Schools have been instructed to identify eligible candidates in the List of Candidates (LOC) and upload all necessary documents within the given timeline.

Facilities and Exemptions

The board has clarified that if CWSN students wish to avail any facilities or exemptions provided by CBSE during the exams, their schools must submit the request through the designated CWSN web portal. Once approved, the details will automatically appear on students’ admit cards, allowing exam centres to make proper arrangements without delay.

Registration Process for Schools

CBSE has also released a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to guide schools through the registration. The steps are as follows:

  1. Schools must log in to the Pariksha Sangam portal using their existing credentials.

  2. In the CWSN module, schools will see the list of students marked as CWSN in the LOC, along with the facilities applicable for each category of disability.

  3. After selecting the facilities, the approved details will be reflected on the student’s admit card.

CBSE’s Directive

The board has urged schools to submit requests on time to avoid last-minute complications and ensure smooth arrangements at examination centres. This move aims to make the examination process more inclusive, accessible, and convenient for students with special needs.
