CBSE Introduces Career Dashboard, Counselling Hub for Students, Educators, and Parents
In a bid to strengthen career guidance and promote psychosocial wellbeing in schools, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday launched two flagship initiatives for the academic session 2025–26 — the Career Guidance Dashboard and the Counselling Hub and Spoke School Model.
The programs were unveiled during an orientation-cum-interaction session attended by educators, school principals, and mental health professionals. Speaking at the event, CBSE Chairman Rahul Singh said,
“Both initiatives are designed to benefit schools and students and will continue to evolve through active input from stakeholders.”
Inside the New Career Guidance Dashboard
The CBSE Career Guidance Dashboard offers a comprehensive digital interface tailored for students, teachers, and school leaders. Key features include:
Curated career information aligned with national and global opportunities
Personalised exploration tools to identify student interests and strengths
Easy access to guidance resources and planning tools
During the launch, expert teams provided a detailed walkthrough of the platform, explaining its user-friendly interface, tools for exploration, and facilities designed to assist all school stakeholders.
Counselling Hub and Spoke Model for Holistic Wellbeing
The Counselling Hub and Spoke Model is designed to establish a structured support system at the school level to address students’ emotional and mental health needs alongside academic and career development.
The session detailed its implementation architecture, school-level responsibilities, and monitoring mechanisms, with a focus on ensuring that students receive timely and effective support.
Suggested Enhancements to Strengthen the Initiatives
Experts have suggested that CBSE could further enrich the programs by adding:
Interactive Career Tools – AI-based assessments, virtual internships, and industry webinars
Personalised Counseling – Data-driven sessions aligned with each student’s profile
Skill-Building Workshops – Digital literacy, creativity, problem-solving, and communication skills
Parental & Teacher Training – Equipping adults to better guide students’ career and wellbeing journeys
Alumni Mentorship Networks – Connecting students with alumni for real-world guidance
Expanded Mental Health Services – Peer support groups and access to professional counselors
AI & Technology Integration – Predictive analytics and personalised learning paths
Continuous Feedback Loops – Regular stakeholder input to refine the programs
With these initiatives, CBSE aims to create a future-ready, student-centered ecosystem that integrates career planning, skill development, and mental health support, preparing students to thrive in an evolving academic and professional landscape.
