NEET UG Counselling 2025: Round 3 to Begin on September 29, 2025 — Documents Required

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released an important update regarding NEET UG 2025 counselling. The process for Round 3 of counselling will officially begin today, September 29, 2025. Eligible candidates can register online by visiting the official MCC portal at mcc.nic.in.

This counselling round is conducted for:

  • 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats across government medical and dental colleges.

  • 100% seats in centrally funded institutions such as AMU, BHU, JMI, and ESIC.

  • Seats in deemed universities and central universities also fall under this counselling process.

It is important for candidates to follow the schedule strictly, as deadlines will not be extended.


NEET UG 2025 Round 3 Counselling Schedule

  • Registration Start Date: September 29, 2025

  • Last Date for Fee Payment: October 5, 2025 (up to 3 PM)

  • Last Date for Choice Filling: October 5, 2025 (up to 11:55 PM)

  • Choice Locking Window: October 5, 2025 (from 4 PM to 11:55 PM)

  • Seat Allotment Processing: October 6–7, 2025

  • Round 3 Result Announcement: October 8, 2025

  • Reporting to Allotted Colleges: October 9–17, 2025


Required Documents for NEET UG 2025 Counselling

Candidates must keep the following documents ready (originals and scanned copies):

  • Class 10th and 12th mark sheets & certificates

  • NEET UG 2025 scorecard

  • Income certificate (if claiming fee concession)

  • Original domicile certificate (and additional domicile proof if required)

  • Caste/category certificate (for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates)

  • Disability certificate (if applicable under PwD quota)

  • Valid photo identity proof (Aadhaar card, passport, voter ID, etc.)

  • Recent passport-size photographs

  • Scanned signature (for online submission)

  • Transfer certificate (TC) from the last attended institution

Note: All certificates must be in the prescribed format and issued by competent authorities. Candidates are advised to keep multiple photocopies for smooth reporting at allotted colleges.


Step-by-Step Guide to Register

  1. Visit the official MCC website: mcc.nic.in.

  2. Click on the “UG Medical Counselling” link on the homepage.

  3. Log in using your NEET UG roll number and password, or complete a new registration if applying for the first time in this round.

  4. Fill out the application form and pay the registration fee online.

  5. Upload all mandatory documents (NEET scorecard, photo ID, category certificate, etc.).

  6. Enter your preferred colleges and courses, and lock the choices before the deadline.

  7. After submission, download and save the confirmation page for future reference.


Additional Information

  • Who Should Apply in Round 3?

    • Candidates who were not allotted a seat in Rounds 1 or 2.

    • Candidates who wish to upgrade or change their seat.

    • Candidates who did not participate earlier but are now eligible.

  • Registration Fee (Non-Refundable):

    • 1,000 (INR) for UR/EWS candidates

    • 500 (INR) for SC/ST/OBC candidates

  • Security Deposit (Refundable):

    • 10,000 (INR) for government colleges

    • 2,00,000 (INR) for deemed universities

  • Stray Vacancy Round: If seats remain vacant after Round 3, a Stray Vacancy Round will be conducted. Only registered candidates will be considered.
