The National Testing Agency (NTA) will open the JEE Main 2026 application correction window from December 1 to 2, 2025, giving candidates two days to rectify mistakes in their submitted forms. The correction facility, available at jeemain.nta.nic.in, enables aspirants to ensure accurate details ahead of exam processing.


Editable Details

Candidates will be permitted to update information in the following sections:

  • Personal details: Name, parents’ names, date of birth, gender, category, and PwD/sub-category status

  • Academic details: Class 10 and 12 information, eligibility state code

  • Exam-related details: Choice of paper, exam city, exam medium, and signature


Non-editable Fields

Certain information cannot be modified during the correction window:

  • Registered mobile number and email ID

  • Permanent and correspondence address

  • Emergency contact details

  • Uploaded photograph


How to Make Corrections

To update the JEE Main 2026 application form, candidates must:

  1. Visit jeemain.nta.nic.in and go to the Registered Candidate Login page.

  2. Log in using their application number and password or date of birth.

  3. Open the submitted application form and select the fields to be corrected.

  4. Make the necessary changes and click Submit to save updates.


Photo and Document Rules

NTA has issued clear guidelines for uploading images and documents:

  • Photograph: Colour or black-and-white images are acceptable. Candidates may wear spectacles but not sunglasses or caps. The photo must be clear and meet the required size and format.

  • Signature: Must be neatly drawn on white paper and uploaded in the prescribed format.

  • Other documents: All files must comply with NTA’s specified size, clarity, and format criteria.

Non-compliance with upload guidelines may lead to rejection of corrections.


Additional Information

Missing the Session 1 exam does not disqualify students. Candidates may still appear for Session 2, and the best of the two scores will be considered for admissions to NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and for determining eligibility for JEE Advanced.

Aspirants are advised to review all details thoroughly before final submission to avoid errors.
