March 30, New Delhi:
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the exam dates for JEE Main 2025 Session 2 for students whose CBSE Class 12 board exams were scheduled on the same day. Candidates affected by the clash can now view their updated exam slots by downloading the JEE Main 2025 city intimation slip from the official NTA portal.
The rescheduling comes after numerous students and parents raised concerns over overlapping exam dates. Many Class 12 students had their board exams—especially the Language paper on April 2 and Psychology on April 4—falling on the same days as their JEE Main exam, leaving them in a difficult position.
April 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, and 9
JEE Main will be held in two shifts each day: 9 AM to 12 PM and 3 PM to 6 PM. Meanwhile, CBSE board exams are scheduled from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, creating a direct overlap on some dates.
April 2: Language papers (Punjabi, Tamil, Bengali, Assamese, Gujarati, and others)
April 4: Psychology
As CBSE Class 12 marks are essential for eligibility in undergraduate admissions, students were left with no choice but to prioritize their board exams over JEE Main if no action was taken.
Though NTA has now shifted the JEE Main dates for students facing these conflicts, there's been no official word yet on whether the exam timings will also be adjusted or if broader changes to the schedule are planned. Appeals from students and parents to CBSE and NTA regarding time adjustments are still pending a response.
JEE Main 2025 Session 2 admit cards will be available for download starting March 29—three days ahead of the first exam. Candidates must log in with their application number and password/date of birth to access their hall ticket.
