What Are Compartment Exams?
CBSE compartment (supplementary) exams offer a second chance to students who couldn’t clear one or more subjects in the regular board exams:
Class 12: Over 1.29 lakh students appeared this year.
Class 10: More than 24 lakh students had taken board exams across 84 subjects, with many eligible for the supplementary round.
What’s Next After the Results?
For Class 12 students, passing the supplementary exam ensures eligibility for college admissions and competitive applications that require a complete pass certificate.
For Class 10 students, clearing these exams is critical for progressing to senior secondary education without delay.
Students must inform their schools after passing to collect official marksheets and proceed with college applications or reapply for any missed opportunities.
