(iii) (a) What is the curved surface area of hemisphere (ice cream) if the base radius is 7 cm

Given base radius of hemisphere, r = 7 cm

$∴ Curved surface area of hemisphere (ice cream) = 2 π r^{2}$

$= 2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times (7)^{2} = 44 \times 7 = 308 {cm}^{2}$
