Two dice are thrown at the same time. What is the probability that the sum of the two numbers appearing on the top of the dice is at least 9


Ans.

Total number of outcomes = 36

Number of outcomes in which the sum of the two numbers is at least 9 = 10

∴ Required Probability = 10/36 = 5/18
