$E = 10 - 5 = 5$ $V$

Net resistance, $R = 1 + 2 + 7 = 10 Ω$

$∴$ $Current, I = \frac{E}{R} = \frac{5}{10} = 0.5 A$

Current will be directed from A to B through E.
