If the vertex of a parabola is (4,3) and its directrix is Y-axis, then the equation of latus rectum of the parabola is
1 x=3  
2 y=8  
3 y=3  
4 x=8  

Ans.

Equation of directrix is x=0...........(1)

Equation of the tangent at vertex is x=4...........(2)

(2) is equidistant from (1) and latus rectum

∴   equation of latusrectum is x=8
