Pankaj’s father needs to purchase a new water tank for irrigating the fields. To find the right one, they visit a shop. The shopkeeper shows them three different types of water tanks, as shown below.

Based on the above information, answer the following questions:

(iii) (b) How much more water type-III tank contains than tank of type-I, if its base radius is 2.5 m and total height is 5.5 m

Volume of type-I tank

$π r^{2} h^{'} = (3.14 \times (1.5)^{2} \times 3.5) m^{3} = 24.7275 m^{3}$

$C a p a c i t y i n l i t r e s : = 24.7275 \times 1000 = 24727.5 litres For Type - III tank Radius : R = 2.5 m$

$Height of cylindrical part : H = (5.5 - 2.5) = 3 m Volume of type - III tank :$

${πR}^{2} H + \frac{2}{3} {πR}^{3} = {πR}^{2} (H + \frac{2}{3} R) = 91.58 m^{3}$

$Capacity in litres : = 91.58 \times 1000 = 91580 litres$

$Required difference = (91580 - 24727.5) litres = 66852.5 litres$
