Statement I: During G0 phase of the cell cycle, the cell is metabolically inactive.
Statement II: The centrosome undergoes duplication during the S phase of interphase.

The cells in G0 phase (quiescent stage) of cell cycle are metabolically active but no longer proliferate unless called on to do so depending on the requirements of the organisms. During S-phase of interphase, the centrosome begins to divide in centriole-containing cells to form two centrosomes or centriole pair.
