Let the velocity at the highest point be v.

(N+mg) provides the centripetal force mv2R to the body

              N+mg=mv2R

or         N=mv2R-mg

R (the radius of curvature) in the first case is minimum.

Hence, normal reaction N will be maximum in the first case.
