A heterozygous pea plant with violet flowers was crossed with homozygous pea plant with white flower. Violet is dominant over white. Which one of the following represents the expected combinations among 40 progenies formed               [2023]

Violet is dominant over white. So, heterozygous violet flowers will have the genotype of (Vv) and white flowers will have genotype of (vv). When these two plants are crossed, the F1 generation will have the ratio of violet : white as 1 : 1. It is shown as:
