Career Counselling

What Is Career Counselling?

Career counselling is a guidance process that helps students:

Identify their strengths, weaknesses, interests, and aptitudes

Understand different career options available in various fields

Choose the right stream (Science, Commerce, or Arts) after Class 10

Prepare for college admissions and future career paths after Class 12

It involves psychometric testing, one-on-one counselling sessions, career exploration workshops, and goal setting to ensure students make confident and well-informed decisions.

Phases of Career Counselling (Class 9th to 12th)

At this stage, the focus is on understanding the student’s personality, interests, and aptitudes.

Key Activities:

Psychometric tests (aptitude, interest, personality)

Self-reflection exercises

Identification of academic strengths and weaknesses

Discussions about hobbies and aspirations

Objective: To help students discover what subjects and career areas align with their natural talents and interests, laying the foundation for choosing the right stream after Class 10.

Once the stream is chosen, students begin exploring specific careers related to their academic path.

Key Activities:

Career research and exploration

Learning about entrance exams, eligibility, and college options

Developing soft skills and extracurricular profiles

Creating a roadmap for academic and personal growth

Objective: To explore potential careers, understand qualification requirements, and plan academic milestones accordingly.

4. Goal Setting and Preparation Phase (Class 12th)

This phase focuses on taking action based on the chosen career path.

Key Activities:

College and course selection guidance
