(d) Members of class-Oomycetes are found in aquatic habitats and on decaying wood in moist and damp places or as obligate parasites on plants. Thallus is mycelial. The hypae are coenocytic (i.e., aseptate and multinucleate). Asexual reproduction occurs by the formation of spores produced inside the sac-like sporangia. Terrestrial species produces aplanospores and aquatic species produces zoospores.
